Ancher Nelsen represented Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District from 1959-1974. He previously served as Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, in the Minnesota State Senate, on the Lynn Township School Board, and on the District 75 Minnesota School Board. He identified as a Republican. He died in 1992.
