Claude Pepper represented Florida’s 18th Congressional District (previously the 14th, 11th, and 3rd Congressional Districts) from 1963-1989. He previously served in the U.S. Senate and in the Florida State House of Representatives. He identified as a Democrat. He died in 1989.
