E. Y. Berry represented South Dakota’s 2nd Congressional District from 1951-1971. He previously served in the South Dakota State Senate, as Mayor of McLaughlin, as Probate Court Judge of Corson County, and as State’s Attorney of Corson County. He identified as a Republican. He died in 1999.
