Rudy Perpich served as Governor of Minnesota from 1983-1991. He previously served a separate period as Governor of Minnesota, as Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, in the Minnesota State Senate, and on the Hibbing School Board. He identified as a Democrat. He died in 1995.
